Forums

Think about a forum as an electronic bulletin board where users can post questions, comments and replies. Any user may start a new topic or reply to an existing post. Users who belong to the "Object Administrators" group also have the ability to create new forums.

To participate in a forum discussion

  1. Select the People tab and click the Forums link located on the side navbar. A list of existing forums appears.
  2. Browse the list of forums and click on the title of the forum you wish to view.
  3. Each main-level forum is then broken down into topics. You can create a new topic, if necessary.
  4. Inside each topic is a list of posts. You can create a new post or reply to an existing one using the appropriate links on each page.

Groups

HAN Groups, found under the People tab, allow you to better communicate and collaborate with other HAN users. This area of the website allows you to join existing groups, remove yourself from a group, lookup group member details, and send messages to groups. Later, you will want to read about how HAN users can create and manage their own groups.

Working with Groups

  1. Select the People tab and click the Groups link located on the side navbar.
  2. Near the top of the page is a series of radio buttons that allow the user to see which groups you are already a member of, groups you can join, and groups you can send messages to:
